Cookie Policy

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored locally on your computer by your internet browser. You can delete cookies at any time, even if they have already been used. Please follow the instructions for your particular browser to change the settings. Further information can be found under “How to manage cookies”.

Which cookies do we use and why:

We use session cookies

To ensure a functional and individual browser experience, we use “session cookies” that help the website recognise you as a single visitor. These session cookies are automatically and immediately deleted once you close the browser.

We use analysis cookies

Our website uses Matomo, previously Piwik, an open-source web analysis tool. We use this tool to record how often visitors use the individual pages of our website, which pages are visited most frequently and whether they receive error messages from our pages. Your IP address is pseudonymised by deleting the last three figures. As a result, we are no longer able to identify you in person. The Matomo software runs on the servers of our external service provider (deLink Gesellschaft für Unternehmenskommunikation mbH) in Germany and any information generated through the cookies regarding your use of the website (including your pseudonymised IP address) is stored on the server of our data processor in Germany. The transmitted IP address is not combined with the other data that we collect. We will delete this data within five years. If you selected “Do not allow/do not track” in your web browser or on your mobile device, we will not track your visit.

We use cookies from third-party providers:

We allow the placement of third-party provider cookies to provide you with personalised and relevant content on our products and services. The storage duration of these cookies is determined by the third-party.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analysis service operated by Google Inc., USA (“Google”), whose cookies are generally transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA. IP anonymisation applies on our website. In doing so, Google abbreviates and thereby anonymises your IP address before transferring it from member states of the European Union or signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The whole IP address is only ever transferred and abbreviated on a Google server in the USA in exceptional cases. On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your usage of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage for the website operator. Google will not associate your IP address, as transmitted by your browser for Google Analytics, with any other data held by Google.

With the help of the information collected, Google creates an evaluation of the use of the website and website activity and provides services associated with internet usage. The data collected by Google on our behalf will be used to be able to evaluate the usage of our online offering by the individual users, e.g. to create reports on website activity and to improve our online offering.
